James’ tiling career started in 2006 at age 20 in Greater Manchester in the UK. After two years of apprenticeship, he decided to move to Australia to continue his tiling career. After 5 years of working in Australia he continued his learning and gained a lot more experience within the tile trade. He then decided to pursue a dream of cycling overland from Australia to England for a local charity. He managed to complete the 17000km+ journey just in time for Christmas 2015. All of this was done in aid Derian House, a UK children’s charity. After a short 18 month stay in the UK where he continued working in the tiling industry James and his fiancee decided they’d move back “down under” to Christchurch, NZ where they have been for the last 5 years and are now married and have started a family. Since living in Christchurch James has worked on various large scale projects, including the Central Library in Cathedral Square, The Riverside Market, Westpac Bank on Cashel St and Canterbury University along with many high end homes within Christchurch from Fendalton to Ferrymead
